If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater, the SSI Try Scuba experience is the perfect, low-pressure introduction to the ocean.

At XR Explorers, we believe that even your very first dive should be done with absolute excellence. Unlike standard introductory classes that rush you into the water, we introduce you to the XR Explorers Standard.

The XR Explorers Difference: The DIR Standard

You will use premium, DIR-configured equipment (Backplate & Wing)—the exact same style used by advanced technical explorers. This offers you superior balance, comfort, and control compared to traditional beginner gear. Furthermore, as part of our unwavering commitment to safety, your experience will be conducted using Nitrox 32% gas at no additional charge, and all pool or facility fees are fully covered.

What to Expect

  • Briefing: A clear and simple explanation of diving principles, safety rules, and equipment mechanics.
  • Skills: Practice basic breathing techniques and underwater movement in shallow, confined water (Pool or Sheltered Bay) under direct supervision.
  • The Dive: Experience the true weightlessness of the underwater world with an experienced instructor right by your side at all times.
