Training Policy – XR Explorers, LLC

At XR Explorers, LLC, we uphold the highest standards in dive training, guided by the globally recognized protocols of Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) and Scuba Schools International (SSI). Our mission is to deliver safe, effective, and transformational education for divers at every level—from beginner to technical professional.


📚 Training Structure

  • All courses are conducted by Active Status GUE or SSI Instructors.
  • Each course is performance-based, combining academics, confined water practice, and open water application.
  • Progression is earned through demonstrated competence, not attendance alone.

✅ Student Eligibility

  • Minimum age: 12+ for most SSI recreational programs; 14+ for GUE Rec 1; 16–18+ for technical levels.
  • Required documents: Medical Form, Liability Waiver, Registration Form.
  • Advanced courses require proof of prior certifications and logged dives.
  • BLS/Rescue certification required for select GUE technical programs.

💪 Health & Medical Clearance

  • All students must be physically and mentally fit to dive.
  • A medical clearance issued within 24 months is required unless otherwise noted.
  • Use of prescription medications must be disclosed and approved in writing by a doctor.

🧑‍🏫 Instructor Standards

  • All instructors are GUE or SSI Active Status Professionals.
  • Instructors maintain current insurance and comply with agency requalification, CPR, and teaching requirements.
  • They demonstrate professionalism, safety, and physical readiness at all times.

🎒 Equipment Use & Configuration

  • GUE-standardized equipment configuration is expected for all GUE courses.
  • Students may rent gear from us but must ensure fit and functionality in advance.

🎓 Certification & Course Completion

  • Certification is issued only upon full mastery of course skills and knowledge.
  • Unsuccessful students may receive referrals or be invited to complete additional sessions (fees apply).
  • GUE certifications are valid for 3 years and require logged dives to remain current.

📆 Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Courses may be rescheduled with at least 14 days’ notice without penalty.
  • Inside 14 days, a 25% rescheduling fee applies unless due to certified medical issues.
  • No refunds on special/custom equipment orders once submitted to the manufacturer.

📏 Code of Conduct

  • Students must attend all sessions, arrive on time, and follow instructor guidance.
  • Unsafe behavior, harassment, or refusal to comply may result in removal without refund.
  • Personal dive software/tools must be approved by the instructor and follow agency standards.
