SSI Basic Diver – Intro Course (12m Depth)

The Try Scuba experience is a fun and easy introduction to diving, done in a pool or confined water. It’s a single dive in shallow water where you’ll get to experience breathing underwater and learn some basic skills—no certification required.

The Basic Diver program takes things a step further. You’ll complete two open water dives: the first in shallow water, and the second up to 12 meters. It’s the perfect way to get a real feel for scuba diving in open water, and if you decide to continue, these dives can count toward your Open Water Diver certification.

The SSI Scuba Diver Course is essentially the first half of the Open Water Diver certification. It’s perfect for those who want to learn the fundamental skills of scuba diving but might not have the time to commit to the full Open Water course right now.

After completing the Scuba Diver certification, you’ll be able to dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional, up to 12 meters (40 feet). And when you’re ready, you can easily upgrade to Open Water Diver by completing the remaining sessions and dives—no need to start over!

The Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to dive independently with a buddy, up to 18 meters (60 feet), anywhere in the world.
