Imagine gliding over reefs and wrecks without kicking, conserving your air, and exploring dive sites that are simply too vast to cover with fins alone. The SSI DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) / Scooter Diver Course gives you the thrilling ability to fly underwater.

At XR Explorers, we don't use entry-level plastic toys. This is an exclusive training program utilizing the absolute pinnacle of DPV engineering: Seacraft. During this course, you will get hands-on practice with both the lightweight Seacraft GO and the expedition-grade Seacraft Future.

The XR Explorers Difference: DIR & Seacraft Mastery

We teach scooter diving following strict DIR (Doing It Right) principles to ensure you maintain perfect horizontal trim and situational awareness while moving at high speeds. You can complete this course in a Single Tank, Double Tank (Twinset), or Sidemount configuration (provided you are already certified in that setup). To maximize your safety and minimize fatigue, premium Halcyon DIR equipment, Nitrox 32% gas fills, and all boat/pool fees are completely covered.

  • Scooter Handling: 1 full day dedicated to theory, mechanics, and the proper assembly/disassembly of Seacraft DPVs.
  • Precision Control: Mastering trigger control, speed adjustments, and turning without breaking your horizontal trim.
  • Emergency Procedures: How to safely manage a runaway scooter, towing a buddy, and dealing with entanglement.

A Rigorous 4-Day Program & The Garouh Island Experience

This is a comprehensive, 4-day transformation. After your initial day of theory and handling, you will complete 2 Confined Water Dives (1 Day) to build muscle memory and master the safety drills in a controlled environment.

Once you are ready, we move to the ocean for 4 Open Water Dives (2 Days). The pinnacle of this training is our famous and highly popular experience dive around Garouh Island, where you will use the Seacraft scooters to cover massive distances and explore the vibrant surrounding reefs like never before.
