However, a drysuit introduces entirely new variables to your buoyancy and trim. The GUE Drysuit Primer is not just about "staying dry"—it is about maintaining a stable, motionless platform while safely managing a new, shifting airspace around your body.
The XR Explorers Exclusive
We are the only GUE facility in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain. This course is a rare opportunity to train with the region's only GUE instructors. It is open to all certified divers (you do not need previous GUE training). It serves as an absolutely excellent introduction to the GUE system for those curious about our rigorous, team-oriented philosophy.
Course Objectives & Structure
The Drysuit Primer is conducted over one intensive day (minimum 8 hours). It is a comprehensive workshop designed to drastically refine your skills. You will learn:
- The GUE Configuration: Understanding proper drysuit fit, selecting the exact undergarments needed for specific temperatures, and routing inflation systems.
- Volume Management: How to meticulously manage the air bubble in your suit to maintain perfect horizontal trim (completely avoiding the dangerous "feet-first" instability).
- Failure Management: We drill for reality. You will practice safely managing a drysuit inflation valve stuck in the "open" position, flooded suits, and other critical emergencies.
