The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course is a globally recognized entry-level scuba diving certification designed to give students the necessary skills to conduct open water dives. Earning this license gives you the freedom to conduct dives that do not require decompression with other certified divers to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet.

Open Water Course Structure
Over 4-5 days, our expert instructors will guide you through a comprehensive curriculum:

Knowledge Development: Self-paced digital modules via the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Manual and associated SDI Knowledge Quest Book or eLearning to master scuba theory, physics, and equipment preparation.

Confined Water Training: Immersive sessions in swimming pool-like conditions to master buoyancy, trim, propulsion techniques (like frog kicking), and emergency procedures.

Open Water Dives: Students must complete a minimum of 4 open water scuba dives and remain underwater for a minimum of 15 minutes on each dive. These are real-world ocean dives where you apply your new skills using Nitrox 32%, exploring marine life while demonstrating mastery.

XR Explorers is the region's premium training hub for technical and recreational diving. While our primary facilities are in Kuwait & UAE, we welcome students from Saudi Arabia (KSA), Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman every week.
