ONE OF OUR FEATURED SHORT DOCUMENTARIES:

ECOSYSTEM CHARACTERIZATION OF BUE MARINO CAVE SYSTEM

For this project—organized by project lead Peter Gärtner and the Phreatic Organization—we created a short documentary capturing the entire process. From delicate sand and water sampling procedures to the unique cave environment, its fauna and flora, and the people behind the research, we documented each phase of the work. The full film is now featured on GUE.TV, where it continues to share the value of exploration and science with a wider audience.

CALA LUNA CAVE:

Re-Mapping

Cala Luna, a well-known cave in Sardinia, was mapped many years ago. However, with advancements in technology and a need for greater accuracy, a new initiative was launched to re-map the cave. And we couldn’t resist the opportunity to contribute to this project—this time by drawing the cave plan to support the mapping efforts.

BUE MARINO CAVE SYSTEM:

Ecosystem Characterization

During this project, we teamed up with scientists to study the cave’s environment. We collected water and sediment samples, measured salinity in haloclines, assessed air pockets, and observed aquatic life. The goal? Gather useful data for scientists to better understand and protect this unique cave system.

GROTTA DEL FICO CAVE:

Photogrammetry or "3D Mapping"

Photogrammetry of Grotta del Fico
This initiative used photogrammetry to produce a high-resolution 3D map of Grotta del Fico Cave. We filmed the entire underwater documentation process, showing how modern technology can help preserve fragile underwater environments for scientific and public exploration.
