At some point, every diver drops something—or gets asked to find something someone else lost. The SSI Search & Recovery Course gives you the skills to handle these situations with confidence, locating and recovering objects ranging from small dive lights to heavy anchors.

The XR Explorers Standard: Precision & Control

At XR Explorers, we teach search and recovery as a technical skill. Under our DIR (Doing It Right) philosophy, it's not just about finding the object; it's about doing it efficiently without stirring up a silt storm or endangering the team. To give you maximum bottom time and mental clarity during task-loading, all your training dives will be conducted using Nitrox 32% gas at no additional charge, and boat access is fully covered.

• Search Patterns: Master the Jackstay, Expanding Square, and Circular searches—even in low visibility environments.
• Rigging & Lifting: Learn the physics of Lift Bags. You will practice rigging heavy objects, securing them with proper knots, and controlling the ascent safely without compromising your own buoyancy.
• Team Coordination: Success depends on communication. We teach you clear roles and line signals so your team works as a single unit.
