The SSI Drysuit Diving Course gives you the skills to stay warm, dry, and comfortable, allowing you to dive year-round—even during the coldest winter months in Kuwait, UAE, and the wider GCC.

Why Dive Dry?

Water conducts heat away from the body 20 times faster than air. Even in "temperate" water, long exposure leads to massive fatigue and cold stress. A drysuit completely changes the game:

• Thermal Protection: By trapping a layer of air and utilizing specialized undergarments, you maintain core body heat, drastically reducing fatigue.
• Extended Bottom Times: Absolutely essential for Sidemount and Nitrox divers who want to stay down longer without freezing.
• The Tech Gateway: For technical divers, drysuits are mandatory for deep decompression dives where you are stationary for long periods.

The XR Explorers Approach: Advanced Control

We don’t just teach you how to zip up a suit; we teach you Advanced Drysuit Control. Managing the air inside your suit adds a new layer of complexity to your buoyancy. To ensure you learn in the safest environment possible, all your training dives will be conducted using Nitrox 32% gas at no additional charge, and your boat/pool fees are covered. • Master Buoyancy: Control the air bubble to maintain perfect horizontal trim.
• Manage Emergencies: How to safely handle "feet-first" inversions, stuck inflators, or dumped valves.
• Optimize Weighting: Finding the perfect balance so you aren't dangerously overweighted.

• Need to rent? If you do not have a suit or DIR equipment, there is no problem. You can rent a premium drysuit and full gear setup at an additional cost to train during the course.

Kuwait and UAE water temperatures drop significantly in the winter (down to 14°C). This course is the key to keeping your diving active 12 months a year locally. We also regularly conduct drysuit clinics for groups traveling to cold-water and cave destinations globally.
