Have you ever lost something valuable underwater, or wanted to assist in retrieving a lost item? This specialty is designed to acquaint the diver with the special skills and techniques necessary to successfully plan, execute and evaluate a search and recovery dive. During the course, you will learn various search techniques including shotgun, circular, grid, and current (overlap) searches. Furthermore, the training extensively covers salvage techniques such as utilizing lift bags, proper knots and rigging, and mud/silt suction considerations.
