The Halcyon 1m (3.3 ft) Closed-Circuit Diver Alert Marker (DAM) is the industry standard for reliable surface signaling. Ideal for both recreational and technical diving, it ensures you are seen at the surface, even from a distance. Unlike traditional "open bottom" safety sausages that can easily spill air and deflate if they tip over in the waves, this closed-circuit design securely traps the gas inside. Once inflated, it stays rigid and visible at the surface until you manually release the pressure.
Deployment from Depth (OPV)
Designed for serious divers, this Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) features an integrated Over-Pressure Valve (OPV). This critical feature allows you to shoot the bag safely from depth. As the gas expands during your ascent, the valve automatically vents the excess air, preventing the bag from bursting while ensuring it arrives at the surface fully pressurized and standing tall.
Color Options & Emergency Signaling
Halcyon offers the DAM in three highly visible colors. Many technical divers utilize a dual-color system to communicate with surface support:

No-Lock® Connector: The unique inflation valve allows for oral inflation or easy filling via a standard Low Pressure (LP) inflator hose. It intentionally does not lock onto the hose permanently, preventing dangerous uncontrolled ascents.
