The XR Foundations Course is an intensive, skill-building program designed for divers who want to master critical diving skills such as buoyancy, trim, propulsion techniques, equipment management, and team awareness. It's ideal as preparation for technical diving, professional dive training, or simply becoming an exceptionally competent recreational diver.

You can choose from a single tank, twinset (highly recommended by XR Explorers), or sidemount configuration. Our instructors will help ensure you train in the configuration best suited to your diving goals.

Yes. If you choose sidemount, you must already be certified as a sidemount diver. If you're not yet certified, XR Explorers offers dedicated Recreational or Technical Sidemount courses to prepare you properly. No, but you do need to be Open Water Diver certified with at least 24 logged dives. We highly recommend being Nitrox certified as well, although it’s not mandatory.
