Sometimes, a dive site is just too good to leave early. That’s where the SSI Decompression Diver Course comes in. This course is your first step into the world of planned decompression diving, giving you the skills to go beyond the no-decompression limits and extend your bottom time safely and confidently.

At XR Explorers, we teach decompression diving the right way. You’ll learn how to plan and execute dives up to 40 meters (130 feet) with up to 15 minutes of decompression—whether you're exploring deeper reefs, wrecks, or just want to stay longer and make the most of every dive.

This isn’t just about adding time to your dives. It’s about learning how to manage your gas supply, control your ascent rates, and hold decompression stops like a pro. We cover equipment configuration, gas planning, redundancy, and team protocols, so you’re not just doing a decompression dive—you’re doing it with precision and control.

And if you want to take it up a notch, we offer this course in a DIR configuration. That means you’ll learn streamlined equipment setup, team communication, and procedures that prepare you for future technical diving. Prerequisites

- Must hold an SSI Deep Diver or equivalent certification
- Must hold an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40 or equivalent
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Have logged at least: 24 dives
- Excellent buoyancy and trim control recommended
