Course details

The GUE Technical Fundamentals course is built for divers who are preparing for the demands of cave, rebreather, or technical diving. It’s a four-day, performance-focused program that refines every aspect of your diving—both as an individual and as a member of a high-functioning team.

Designed with elevated entry standards, this course ensures that all participants begin with experience and readiness. You’ll train in GUE's double tank configuration, learn advanced propulsion techniques, refine trim and buoyancy, and execute complex team protocols like valve drills, touch-contact gas sharing, and SMB deployment during ascent—all while using GUE-standard equipment and working within minimum decompression limits.

The course combines adaptive online theory, extensive land drills, and a minimum of eight in-water dives. You’ll also cover nitrox theory, decompression principles, rescue fundamentals, and light handling, preparing you for success in any of GUE’s technical, cave, or CCR pathways.

Even if you’re not pursuing advanced training, Technical Fundamentals delivers elite-level diving competence and the mindset required to execute dives with safety, control, and purpose.
