The GUE Discover Diving experience provides newcomers with a clear, exciting, and expertly-guided first glimpse into the world beneath the waves. In just one day, you'll explore foundational diving skills and concepts, gaining direct experience with scuba equipment and techniques used by the world’s top divers.

Under direct instructor supervision and a strict 2:1 in-water student-to-instructor ratio, you'll learn key skills including buoyancy control, underwater propulsion, equipment management, and emergency protocols. This program delivers a comprehensive and high-standard first step, ideal for those aiming to simply try scuba diving or prepare for a full certification course.

Participants experience the underwater environment safely, at a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet), ensuring comfort, confidence, and a genuine sense of discovery from the very first dive.

01. Orientation & Theory

Your journey begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of scuba diving. In this phase, you’ll learn about essential physics, equipment function, underwater communication, and how GUE training differs from standard dive programs. We’ll walk you through everything you need to feel prepared, safe, and confident before entering the water.

02. Land Drills & Equipment Familiarization

Before diving, you'll work directly with a GUE instructor to practice critical land-based skills. You'll learn how to handle your gear, perform basic scuba procedures, and get hands-on with GUE’s streamlined equipment configuration. This phase builds comfort, control, and muscle memory.

03. Confined Water Dive (Optional Open Water Dive)

Now it’s time to dive. Under strict supervision and a low 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio, you’ll experience your first underwater adventure in a safe, confined environment. You’ll practice core dive skills like buoyancy, propulsion, and controlled ascents. If conditions and progress allow, you may complete a supervised open water dive—your first real step into the underwater world.
